Iwo Jima Veterans
and 3rd AmTrac
Marines Visit the
Command Museum

Sgt. Show and his Marines from 3rd AmTrac Battalion from Camp Pendleton came down to MCRD on Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, expecting to see a recruit graduation parade.

When they got here they were disappointed to learn it was an open week-- no graduation parade was scheduled. So, they decided to visit the Command Museum.

Little did they realize that this would be their lucky day--the Iwo Jima veterans were scheduled to visit the Museum that same morning.

So, as luck would have it, the two groups came together, and in a proud Marine Corps tradition, spent the morning sharing their personal and professional experiences from duty at Iwo Jima and in Iraq.

For each group it was a memorable experiences--for Sgt. Show and his Marines, something to keep in mind as they prepare to leave next month for Iraq.
