MCRD Musuem Historical Society Docent Application


DOCENT PROGRAM:   QUALIFICATIONS:

Conduct tours for the general public at the Command Museum on an as needed basis and to participate in the T-56 Training Program for recruits undergoing recruit training under the supervision and direction of the Docent Coordinator, MCRD Museum Historical Society, San Diego.
  1. Honorable Discharge.
2. Service in the Marine Corps or with Navy as an FMF Corpsman or Chaplain.
3. Combat service preferred but not required.
4. Three hour weekly commitment for T-56 Docent Program.
5. Teaching ability and communication skills.
6. Satisfactorily complete 4 week (32 hour) Docent Training Program.
7. Provide a copy of current DD 214 (Release from Active Duty).
8. Submit a narrative biography of military service.
9. Submit to a background investigation.
10. Adhere to conservative grooming and attire standards.
